About this event

Presented by: James Phelps, M.D.

About the Webinar: Nearly all mood specialists have acknowledged that mood disorders fall on a spectrum between plain depression and clear-cut manic-depressive disorder, with mixed states further blurring the distinction between “unipolar” and “bipolar”. Dr. Phelps will present three ways to cope with the diagnostic uncertainty associated with this spectrum view of mood disorders, including a review of screening tools and diagnostic questionnaires. These strategies lead to a focus on non-medication and non-antipsychotic treatment options for the middle of the mood spectrum, and the circadian neuroscience underlying them.
